I'm Joshua Hake, and I'm an experienced chef, food stylist, and recipe developer. I have 10+ years styling food for print, web, and television as well as 20+ years working in commercial kitchens. I'm well-versed in ad and editorial, both still and video. My culinary experience includes everything from sushi and ramen to gastropub and tacos, from line cook to ownership. I have written recipes for major retailers and published authors and draw from my broad culinary background for inspiration, often combining the principals of classics with unique and intriguing trends.

My experience has led me to the conclusion that I'll never have the same day on set twice. It's the fusion of fundamentals and creativity that solve the ever unique challenges which arise on set. Communication is paramount to identifying what the goals are and how to best collaborate and achieve them. I truly enjoy the process and thrive on developing new ways to produce and present novel compositions.
